Why We Had To Cancel

Last Friday, Charlie in the Box became the Schleprock band. Just about everything that could go wrong did. To start off with, those of you who were at our show on Jan. 5th at ATC probably know that Maria took a bad fall down the stairs. She ended up breaking both her wrist and arm and also having to get stiches in her mouth. So needless to say, she still wasn't feeling too well this past Friday. She decided last minute that she was still in to much pain to do the show. Fair enough, we have enough material that we can squeek by without her - the show must go on! Well, a few hours before we are supposed to leave for the show John, our bass player and owner of the PA, called to let us know that in addition to being sick as a dog, he couldn't get his van started in the cold. OK, as much as we would still have liked to do the show, it just isn't feasable to play without a lead singer, bass player or a PA system. So, unfortunately we had to cancel the show. Again, we would like to apologize to everyone who stopped out at the Blind Pig only to find us not there. We'll have just have to play twice as hard at our next show :) Hope to see you there.
