I'm sure by now some of you have heard the rumors that our longtime drummer, Chuck Cowley, is leaving the band. Sadly, these rumors are true. Chuck has taken on a new job that requires him to work late night hours and weekends. Unfortunately, the conflict in scheduling between his new job and the band is too much for him to work around, and so he has chosen to step down as our drummer. He has been in this band since the very beginning. For over twelve and a half years, Chuck has kept the beat steady for this constantly evolving band. In addition to being our drummer, Chuck also delt with the hassle of booking all our shows. Its no easy task to try and schedule six different people up to six months in advance. Not only that, but he also played host for all of the bands practice sessions. All of us in the band want to thank Chuck for all of his hard work and effort. He will be sorely missed.

With his departure, that leaves me as the only surviving member of the band's original line up from 1990. There probably aren't too many current fans of Charlie in the Box out there that got to see us play as The Lawn Jockeys. For those of you not familiar with the band's history, that was the original name of this group. Now that Chuck is leaving, John Konopka and I are the only one's left to have played under that moniker. For a little trip down memory lane, click HERE to see a picture of the original band.
